REFLECTION: Counting our blessings

| December 9, 2022 1:00 AM

At this time of year I feel like it is time to reflect on how fortunate we are for what we have and all the good things that come with each day to have relationships with friends and family. I always said if we are judged by our wealth, that is not a true measure of wealth.

I prefer to be measured by the friends I have and to me that makes me the wealthy guy in the neighborhood. So, if friends are “a dime a dozen,” and you lose them all, well, I guess I am out about $3.50.

Anyhow, if we have good health and are enjoying each day with our friends and animals that is a good thing. The world will continue to turn and there will be ups and downs but if we focus on today and make the best of it, I believe we will be OK. God Bless all the good folks in the area and have a wonderful holiday season. Be kind to the animals in your life.
