POST FALLS — Emerging hitmaker Ryan Griffin is continuing his Slow Down Sunrise tour with a 6 p.m. appearance Thursday at Nashville North, 6361 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls.

The tour is named for Griffin’s recently released EP, "Slow Down Sunrise," which showcases the singer/songwriter’s "poppy punch and R&B swagger,” according to Rolling Stone. The collection features Griffin’s debut single, “Salt, Lime and Tequila,” a tune that is quickly rising to the top of the country music charts. The track rocketed to No. 1 on SiriusXM The Highway's Hot 30 Countdown and recently surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify alone.

More than 10 years after proving his talent, the timing is finally right for Red Street Country artist Griffin. A platinum-certified No. 1 songwriter on country pop singer Kelsea Ballerini's “Dibs” in 2015, the Florida native has earned tens of millions of streams from soul-baring tracks like 2017’s “Would’ve Left Me Too.” Two EPs followed, mixing raw vulnerability with meant-to-be determination and landing Griffin’s supple, evocative vocal on “Ones to Watch” lists from Rolling Stone to AOL, AXS and more.

After two years of pandemic-related upheaval, Griffin's messages have become more relevant than ever – and he’s returning with a renewed sense of purpose. On a new batch of soul-mending country R&B, his 2022 EP "Slow Down Sunrise" is built around courageous character and fire-tested faith, mixing equal parts encouragement and epiphany. Tracks like “Salt, Lime and Tequila” find Griffin’s top-shelf vocal chilled and served fresh, reminding listeners that life’s essential ingredients are easy to find.
