BANDUCCI: Policy won't change behavior

I chose to attend the NIC Trustee Board meeting on Monday, Aug. 22 because I feel it is important to bear witness to the behaviors and conduct of Trustee Banducci. He has proven himself time and time again to be a man who acts childishly, who disparages others and who has an elevated opinion of himself.

There were many instances of this childish behavior at this board meeting. I would encourage you to view the board meeting on YouTube. His behavior is comical.

The Board of Conduct Policy was on the agenda for approval. Trustee Banducci stated “here’s the deal … this policy was originally created as a weapon against me by a few small-minded people.” He and Trustee McKenzie voted against having a policy that defines the necessity to communicate respectfully and with civility to all. It saddens me that Trustee Banducci, who is in a position of leadership and power as a trustee, honestly does not see that his behavior toward others is appalling. I don’t believe a policy will modify his behavior, but at least if he chooses to read the policy, he will know what the expectations of a professional are.
