Carolyn “Carrie” Simpson, 71

Life began July 20, 1950, for longtime Post Falls resident Carolyn “Carrie” Simpson.

She was born in the Silver Valley in Wallace, raised in Harrison and moved to Post Falls in 1973. She was a sister to three brothers and three sisters.

Along the path of life, she experienced the beauty of the local mountains, the wildlife of Alaska and all that the great outdoors could bring her. She was an avid mushroom hunter and huckleberry picker. She loved to fish and spend time in the rivers and on the lakes. She loved to tell stories about driving across Lake Coeur d’Alene as a teenager in the winter.

Carrie passed away July 19, 2022.

She is survived by son Dennis, daughter Diana, grandchildren Travis, Kaitlyn, Chelsee and Courtney, great-grandchildren Kyla and Noah, two remaining sisters and three brothers.

At her request, there will be no services.
