David passed on to his next journey on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. David was born on March 31, 1943, in Morrison, Ill.

He grew up in Morrison and attended Lake Forest Academy where his love of all things sports blossomed as he captained the football, basketball and track teams. In the fall of 1967, he enlisted in the U.S. Army to serve in the Vietnam War, specializing in combat infantry, where he earned a purple heart among other medals, awards, and accolades. Over the years, David lived and worked in sales, and as an entrepreneur, in Colorado, Arizona, California, back to Illinois, before finally residing in northern Idaho near his three children, whom he claimed were his greatest accomplishments. Through the ups and downs of life, David always made sure to make it a good time.

He is preceded in death by his precious daughter Alexandra Jane; his parents Mason Roy and Kathryn Doyle Bull; his brothers Mason and Nick, and sister Jane Ann Bull Weihaupt. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Kathryn Bull Burk (son in law Sean) of Coeur d’Alene and son Zachary Taylor (daughter in law Jennifer) of Liberty Lake; beloved grandchildren Blair Alexandra Burk, Riggins James and Mason James; loyal partner Patricia Tefft; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be held this summer.
