POST FALLS — The Post Falls Trojans made themselves at home in a “road” doubleheader in their own ballpark.

Post Falls scored 10 runs in its first at-bat and went on to sweep the Lake City Timberwolves 15-0 and 18-7 in Inland Empire League softball play Tuesday.

The games were moved from Lake City after rain earlier Tuesday left the T-Wolves’ field unplayable. Lake City remained the “home” team.

In the first game, Sophia Solberg hit a two-run double in the second inning, and finished 2 for 2 with four RBIs and three runs scored for Post Falls (14-4, 11-3 IEL). McKenna Moak was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

In the second game, Solberg went 4 for 5 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and made some dazzling defensive plays at third base.

Eden Nye hit a two-run triple in the first inning and a two-run homer in the fourth inning for Post Falls. Sophie Nungesser went 3 for 4.

Hope Bodak hit a pair of solo homers for Lake City( 4-12, 3-7), and Layla Gugino hit a grand slam in the second inning to pull Lake City within 7-6. Bodak finished 3 for 3 and scored three times.
