Otters endorse Critchfield for schools job
Idaho’s 32nd governor, Butch Otter, and former first lady Lori Otter have formally endorsed Debbie Critchfield to be Idaho’s next superintendent of public instruction.
“Debbie has the conservative values that put Idaho kids and families first,” said former Gov. Otter. “She will uphold our constitutional obligations for education in Idaho.”
“Gov. Otter and Lori have been great advocates for Idaho students in their service to our great state,” Critchfield said. “I am honored to receive their endorsement and have appreciated their support in my campaign. As superintendent, I intend to reflect the same values in putting students first, empowering parents and providing educators the support they need in the classroom.”
“With 20 years of state and local education experience, Debbie Critchfield is prepared to listen and act on behalf of our students,” Lori Otter said. “As a former classroom teacher and administrator, I recognize the qualities Debbie brings to the table to lead Idaho K-12 education on day one.”
