Spring is in the air in Coeur d’Alene and that means that the tourist season is just around the corner. Countless people from around the world seek the peace and tranquility of the Pacific Northwest this time of year. As we prepare to welcome these eager visitors, it’s also a great time to show appreciation for the hometown heroes that have worked tirelessly to keep our beautiful city safe and healthy.

On Thursday, May 12, the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber will host its annual Hearts For Heroes Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hagadone Event Center. Registration is open to the public and tickets are $45 per person. This event inspires and we would love for you to join us. It is a special way for us to celebrate and recognize local health care heroes for their excellence in providing care.

Our local health care workers spend each day putting their lives on the line to care for our beloved community. While most people have been limiting human contact outside of their households these past two years, these heroic individuals have been on the front lines, putting their own health and the health of their families at risk. The members of the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber are proud to acknowledge these public servants for their selfless acts of heroism and commitment to protect our families, our neighbors and our community.

This year, you can do more than simply join us in the celebration. We invite you to nominate your favorite health care provider for the “People’s Choice Award.” This prestigious award will be formally presented to the top three winning health care providers during the event.

Nomination criteria for this award is simple, and only takes a few minutes of your time. The healthcare organization nominated must provide health care services to our community in Kootenai County and should exemplify outstanding contribution in the following areas:

• Exemplary patient care

• Commitment to health and safety

• Teamwork, mentorship, and employee care

• Community impact

• Innovative solutions

• Consistent and dependable service

• Dedication to hard work

• Positive workplace energy and inclusive culture

• Creative problem-solving

• Resilience and community leadership

Have you or a loved one experienced superb health care from a local health care hero? Help them get the recognition they deserve! To nominate your favorite health care provider, simply fill out the Nomination Form found on the homepage of the chamber website, www.cdachamber.com. Your nominations matter, and we are eager to hear from you!
