The Thorns dropped the first game, then rallied for 6-4 and 6-5 wins in the afternoon. The Timbers defeated the Spokane Scotties B2011 McKinley 5-2 in the morning game, then beat the Spokane Sounders B2011 South Mahar team 6-1 in the afternoon game. The Timbers will travel to Boise for the Director’s Cup tournament this weekend. Timbers goals were scored by Eli Nail, Ryder Quinn (3), Oliver Peters with an assist by Charlie McVey, Charlie McVey (3), Landon Smith and Lucas Buscema. Zoe Lemmon (pictured) scored the Thorns' only goal against FC Spokane G2012 on an assist from Payton Brennan. In the Thorns' second game of the weekend against the Spokane Sounders G2011, Payton Brennan had the team's two goals, one assisted by Ava Langer. The girls travel to Boise this weekend for the Performance Cup.
