Widmyer joins Team Amador
COEUR d’ALENE — Three-term Republican Idaho State Rep. Paul Amador announced Tuesday that former Coeur d’Alene Mayor Steve Widmyer has been appointed as campaign chairman for his Legislative District 4 re-election campaign.
Widmyer has lived in Coeur d’Alene for more than 50 years, has run several successful businesses, served as mayor for eight years and raised a family of four in North Idaho.
He has been an active member of the community, serving on the Idaho Workforce Development Council, board member for the Association of Idaho Cities, president of the United Way, and North Idaho College Booster Club.
Amador had the following to say about Widmyer:

Mayor Widmyer has been a lifelong and respected Republican in our community who has been an advocate for building a vibrant Coeur d’Alene that is an amazing place to live, work, play, and raise a family.”

Rep. Amador is a three-term state representative, current chair of the House Ways and Means Committee and is also a member of the following legislative committees: Joint Finance and Appropriations, Joint Legislative Oversight, Judiciary, Rules and Administration, and Environment, Energy, and Technology.
Amador lives in Coeur d’Alene with his wife and two young children. He owns and operates an education development and data consulting business and a small family farm. Amador has a Ph.D. in educational leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics.
