| April 15, 2022 1:00 AM

Individual and group tickets are now available for Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre’s production of “Mamma Mia!”

The Broadway musical runs July 1 through 10 at Schuler Performing Arts Center at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene.

Those who purchase individual tickets for “Mamma Mia!” can apply the ticket cost toward a season ticket purchase through the end of the show’s run.

Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre has introduced new perks for season ticket holders, including permanent pricing at the 2022 rate for those who continuously purchase season tickets without missing a year.

Season ticket holders are invited to attend a party on opening night, have an early and private entrance for performances, and are eligible for discounts on merchandise, concessions and additional tickets.

Season ticket holders who donate an additional $500 to the theater become members of the new Producer’s Club. Members will be treated to an exclusive June 12 cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene and have access to the theater’s private Club Room.

The Club Room is open before shows, during intermission and after each performance, and includes complimentary refreshments and access to the theater’s board, staff, creative teams, cast and crew.

“We are excited to bring live musicals back to North Idaho after a long hiatus,” said Executive Artistic Director Chuck Ethridge. “We are really pulling out all the stops to show our appreciation for the theater community and our supporters.”

The 2022 season features strong female leads and storylines about women. For the first time in Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre history, all summer productions will be directed by women.

“When it comes to the pool of auditioning talent, women outnumber men about 3-to-1,” Ethridge said. “We decided to embrace that by choosing musicals that reflect our auditioning talent as much as possible.”

Director Antoinette DiPietropolo’s directing credits include New York’s John W. Engeman Theatre’s productions of “Mamma Mia!” and “Nunsense.” DiPietropolo has directed, choreographed and acted in numerous other productions as well, including roles in the Broadway national tours of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Annie.”

Additional productions slated for 2022 include “Little Women, The Broadway Musical,” from July 22 to 31, and “Nunsense'' from August 12 through 21.

Established in 1967, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre is Idaho’s oldest performing arts organization. The nonprofit, professional theater produces full-scale Broadway musicals during the months of June, July and August.

All performances for the 2022 Summer Season will be held at Schuler Performing Arts Center at North Idaho College.
