Election security info sessions set for Tuesday
Election security has been a topic of discussion throughout the country.
In response, Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon has organized informational sessions to assure all county residents that their votes will be counted and not nullified by illegal votes.
"Here in Kootenai County, we are committed to fair elections and have many security measures," said a release from Brannon's office.
Educational sessions will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in the Elections Office, 1808 N. Third St., Coeur d’Alene.
Attendance will be limited to the first 50 people per session who RSVP to the Elections Office at kcelections@kcgov.us or by calling 208-446-1030.
Scheduled speakers include Chief Deputy Secretary of State Chad Houck and Chris Wlaschin, senior vice president and chief information systems officer of Elections Systems and Software, the supplier of Kootenai County Elections' DS-850 tabulators.
