12th annual Hard Hats, Hammers and Hot Dogs event Friday

POST FALLS — The Post Falls Chamber of Commerce calls all students interested in entering the construction industry. The industry is Idaho’s No. 1 growing workforce with a 41.5% increase since 2017. Now is the perfect time to pursue construction industry opportunities.
The 12th annual Hard Hats, Hammers and Hot Dogs event is a way to connect with representatives across the industry. Friday from 8:30 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. the event will be held at the Kootenai Technical Education Campus at 6838 W. Lancaster Rd. in Rathdrum.
The career awareness event provides students exposure to career options across the construction, manufacturing and production industries.
Guests will be invited to tour the campus, experience operating heavy machinery and power tools, and learn about the array of training programs and opportunities in this region. Numerous local construction companies and industry educational programs will be represented.
The chamber expects about 400 students to attend.
