TRUCE: The three-way test

| April 1, 2022 1:00 AM

For years, the Coeur d’Alene Press has urged non-Republicans to register as Republicans to influence primaries; this has resulted in an intolerable number of Democrats invading the Republican Party.

Democrats and liberals must be pushed back into their own lane. Liberals should be urged to register Democrat to fight the extremism in their own party.

Not surprisingly, Cheri Zao, a known Democrat advocate and former Democrat candidate, is running against Republican Ron Mendive in the primary. Ms. Zao is also falsely running as a Republican against me for Republican precinct.

A former Vice Chair of the Democrat Party, returned to Democrat registration from Republican to run for Democrat precinct. Research of voting records show seven other Democrats returning to their proper party to run for Democrat precinct positions. “Republican” Commissioner Chris Fillios thanked Democrats for winning in his Republican primary race.

The Press condemnation of Republicans attempting to control their own primaries is the most hypocritical thing I have seen in years, considering they help foster this invasion of the Republican Party. Why has the Democrat Kootenai County chairman and the Coeur d’Alene Press not condemned the actions of the Democrat party? Why have they not called out Cheri Zao and others? Likely, it was done with blessings as this is a national and state tactic to elect liberals in red states. Finally, why is John Grimm not concerned about Democrat actions to steal Republican elections?

It seems time for a truce among Republicans, Democrats and the Coeur d’Alene Press.
