FILLIOS: Compare and support

| April 1, 2022 1:00 AM

One of the most important choices for the May 17 primaries is the race for our two county commission seats. It is essential that we elect reasonable, moderate, conservative candidates particularly in the pending Republican Primary.

As a retired health care executive with more than 40 years of tenure, I would like to think I can identify authentic, legitimate leaders. Without hesitation, I can recommend Chris Fillios for re-election to the County Commission, District 2.

I have come to know Chris through working on various committees with him. I have researched his track record. He is a thoughtful conservative who realizes sound bites are not solutions to the complex issues our county faces.

His accomplishments are easily searched and he makes clear his intentions and goals. In one-on-one conversations, his points are always consistent and made with the best interest of our residents in mind.

I encourage you to do your own research not only of his campaign website, chrisforkootenai.com, but what others have reported and discovered. I would also encourage you to Google his opponent, Mr. Bruce Mattare and in particular his former company, BlueHippo Financing LLC (Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2009). This controversial installment credit business targeted people with poor credit and senior citizens, according to the FTC.

With an objective review of credentials and experience, you will agree that Mr. Fillios deserves to be re-elected for the benefit of our county.
