SCHOOLS: Elect effective leaders

| September 29, 2021 1:00 AM

I’ve been a teacher in the Coeur d’Alene District for 21 years as an elementary school teacher with various teaching positions. I’m involved with student activities such as choir, chess and Student Advisory Group.

This is a tough time for all of us and although it would be nice to be appreciated for what my colleagues and I are doing in classrooms from elementary to high school, I believe that what we want you to know the most is that your children are not being harmed.

I implore you to not take the bait of conspiracies that really seek to destroy in the name of Jesus or Freedom.

Instead, I would ask for you to vote for Rebecca Smith, Lindsey Swingrover and Lisa May. I have worked closely with the three of them for many years and have found all three to have the heart of a servant, to be dedicated and involved mothers, and are professional women in our community. They’re intelligent, compassionate, hardworking and educated. They are local people that have embraced the culture of our community who still want to work for our children and our schools.

Please cast your ballot for consistency, kindness and intelligence. They will consistently do what is best for our school district, and our children. They’re willing to work with others for the furtherance of education.

As a teacher who continues to love her job in spite of the lies that are told about us, I ask that you please vote for them.
