Roots Wood Fire will open soon at 1500 Northwest Blvd. (Gibbs Center) in the former Dippers location.
Owners William and Lynda Hanko will offer wood-fired pizza, seasonally inspired small plates and salads and multiple beverages with seating for 38 people inside, eight outside with a warm and inviting Bohemian vibe.
William was a chef for 15 years on the central coast, and Lynda has been in the restaurant customer service business for 17 years. Lunch hours will be 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and dinner 4:30-8:30 Wednesday through Sunday.

Stogies Cigar, Pipe opens in Post Falls
With a sit-down lounge to enjoy a cigar or pipe and TV games, a ladies' night and more events to come, Stogies Cigar & Pipe Lounge has opened at 4406 W. Riverbend in Post Falls.
Owners Glenn and Krista Gatherer offer a large selection of cigars with hours of noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.

- The CdA Corner Store is adding a kitchen and tables downtown.

- Watch for a new apartment building at 128 W. Neider (across from Safeway).
- Mountain Goat Lounge is under construction connected to the Moose Lounge downtown.
- The Lake Coeur d'Alene Inn is under construction on CdA Lake Drive between Mullan Ave. and Michael D's Eatery.
- According to a Facebook item, Montana has the highest percentage of residents with gun ownership at 66.3%. Following are Wyoming, Alaska and fourth Idaho at 60.1%.
