Run for education

| September 18, 2021 1:00 AM

The community is invited to participate in a fundraising 1.5-mile run/walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds for the Coeur d’Alene School District.

The 2nd Sources of Strength Color Run serves as a community campaign to promote healthy and happy living in local youth.

All proceeds go directly to secondary schools.

Sources of Strength is a student-led club to help students find their personal strength and create a culture within their school that empowers change through diversity and compassion.

Participants are encouraged to wear white clothing, as they will be doused with certified organic biodegradable colors.

Students are free but requested to bring a canned-food donation for the Coeur d’Alene Food Bank. Adults $15.

Participants can show up anytime during the run.

Sign up online at cdaschools.org/colorrun or at the event.
