KINDNESS: Try some on

| September 17, 2021 1:00 AM

As a retired physician, my gratitude goes out to the overwhelmed health care workers in North Idaho. We as residents and potential users of the system have a moral obligation, don’t we? We can help solve the problem or be the problem. We get to choose.

Vaccines out there have proven safe for more than a hundred million. Can we say the same of COVID itself? The data and daily stats say no!

Getting the vaccine is kind to health workers, your neighbors, and even businesses in your community. Yes, even businesses. I see family, friends and neighbors withdrawing from commercial activity once again in the community because of the spread here.

Think of tourists. Who wants to come to a place with rampant COVID, little mask use and hospital beds full? So I’d like to appeal to our better angels and say get the vaccine — if not for yourself, do it because you love our North Idaho community and your neighbors and friends.
