SWIM: Should’ve been acknowledged

In mid-August we had a wonderful event in Coeur d’Alene. People of all ages — 9 to 90 — participated in a swim across the lake, from Arrow Point to Sanders Beach. There was exhaustion and exhilaration. My daughter, Dana, took several days out of her busy schedule in Bend, Ore., to take part in this great swim and we were proud of her.

If you can give downtown merchants time for their twin sets and food samples, why not acknowledge such a great feat.

There is always next year.
