Sharon Darlene Ward, 67, of Coeur d’Alene, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 24, 2021. She is now reunited with her parents Richard (Dick) A. Lyseng and Ruth E. Lyseng (Skognes).

Sharon was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and adopted by Richard and Ruth on June 14, 1955. They moved to the United States a few years later and she became a Naturalized U.S. Citizen on May 4, 1965.

Sharon earned her B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Lewis & Clark State College, and made the National Dean’s List numerous times.

Sharon loved her family and friends and would do anything for them. She was very proud of and loved to brag about her Grandsons serving in the Marine Corps.

She enjoyed crafting and took joy in making snowman representations of family and friends as gifts. She also loved gardening, canning and cooking/baking. You could always find her in the kitchen whipping up some delicious meals, Rhubarb Pies or Norwegian goodies.

Sharon is survived by her three children: Johnny, Sarah & Justin, whom she shares with her former spouse of 32 years John H. Ward, and their spouses; her seven grandchildren: Christian, Caleb, Shaina, Reagan, Madisyn, Brenden, and Lamia; her four great-grandchildren: Eliott, Alicenn, Annastasia and Gideon (due January, 2022), as well as her sister Fay M. Johnson and spouse, all her family in Canada and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor her. The details will be posted on her Facebook Memorial Page at
