Hayden Business Expo highlights growing community
Exhibition booth applications are open for the 2021 Hayden Chamber of Commerce “Connecting Community & Business Expo Fair” on Sept. 15.
“Hayden is seen as a bedroom community that is a little more off-the-radar,” Hayden Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Andrea Fulks said. “We have tons of new business to promote and get the word out about.”
Since January, Fulks said the chamber had added almost 40 new members, growing to over 225 business affiliates this summer.
Over 50 businesses have signed up for the expo, and spots are still open, Fulks said. Exhibition booths are available to any Kootenai County business.
“We’ve grown from a little chamber to a big presence in the community,” Fulks said.
The event comes as several new businesses have opened at the Silver Lake Mall and TDS Fiber lounge that Fulks said the chamber is excited to showcase. Prizes will be given out.
“Businesses can come to get to know the community and talk about positions they are hiring for,” Fulks said. “There are a million banks, credit unions and all kinds of businesses in the area. This event allows people the opportunity to see the personality from each and find out what is best for them in one setting.”
The expo is free and will run for three hours starting at 4 p.m. at the Silver Lake Mall. Businesses can participate in a vendor networking event before the fair from 3 to 4 p.m.
