In the first game, Aubrey Sargent scored the first goal followed by Kylie Lorona scoring 4 goals and Victoire James scoring 2 goals. In the second game against Sounders South, Evelyn Haycraft scored 2 goals with an assist from Brightyn Gatten, Eloise Elegee scored 1 goal on a throw in from Olivia Nusser, and Emily Hackett and Brightyn Gatten each scored 2 goals. On Saturday, The Thorns defeated the FC Spokane 2011G team 11-0 at Canfield Middle School. Brightyn Gatten scored the first goal followed by 4 goals from Kylie Lorona, 2 goals from Evelyn Haycraft, 2 goals from Victoria Howard, and one goal each from Sophia Harrington and Victoire James. The shutout goalie team was Hailey Viaud and Eloise Elgee.

Courtesy photo Junior cross country runner Anna Peters is this week's Post Falls High School Athlete of the Week. Peters won the 5A Region 1 meet last week at Farragut State Park with a time of 18:15 in the 5K race. Earlier in the season at the Inland Empire Challenge, Anna clocked a 16:52 for the seventh-fastest time in the nation this year for a high school female runner in a 5K race.
