HEADLINE: Missing information

The headline, “Idaho is worst for safety from coronavirus” is misleading.

The headline was based on a Wallethub article.

The Wallethub best-to-worst study has an asterisk next to Idaho indicating, “Idaho provides vaccine data only for vaccine recipients who are 18 years and older, in line with state laws.” This means that the ultra healthy segment of the population of Idaho aged 0 to 17 years was left out of the statistics for Idaho. This was not true for the other 49 states.

Obviously, this has a huge impact on the comparison of Idaho to the other 49 states.

Unfortunately, the important asterisked information was omitted from The Press article.
