WASTE: Unmanaged, unminded

While driving around this beautiful part of our planet, have you ever wondered where all the trash we see on the side of the road comes from? Why our good citizens would discard so much litter out of their car windows? The answer is they are not. Most of the litter we see is coming from Waste Management trucks. I got behind a Waste Management truck on Lancaster for about 1 mile and saw and counted 12 pieces of litter blow out the back of the truck. That’s a lot of litter for a minute and a half! This brought back memories of getting behind Waste Management trucks years ago in California, where we both came from. Every time I would get behind one of their trucks, litter would be blowing out in a constant stream. So I know they are aware of this problem and design flaw of their trucks — they just don’t care!

The citizens and elected officials of this county should be aware of this gross polluter and do something about it.
