MAY: Cd’A schools need her

| October 17, 2021 1:00 AM

Our schools and how they are managed is a huge part of why people are relocating to North Idaho. We are all proud that our state has a long history of conservative values that trickle down from our legislative laws to protect our individual rights and futures.

What ensures these rights and opportunities for our children is a strong and dedicated school board! Lisa May is a huge part of the success we have achieved in our school district in Coeur d’Alene.

Lisa is the perfect example of what tireless hours dedicated to quality public education is all about. Her experience is extensive, and includes being a founding board member of Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership, Chair of the Yes! Campaign, and President of Long Range Planning.

The candidate running against Lisa comes to the ballot via being selected by Brent Regan and his ultra-right wing dictates. She openly admits that she did not support the last levy vote. These characteristics clearly indicate her candidacy is more about her politics than her knowledge of what is best for our school district.

These are difficult times for school district boards and administrators. After coming off 18 months of COVID-19 and learning what is a safe learning environment and what is not, the last thing we need is to hand off our kids and their futures to inexperienced candidates who openly talk of how they don’t support our school district, but do answer to political operatives with their own agenda.
