Share your Halloween scenes — or else!

The most terrifying day of the year is creeping closer.

No, silly, not Nov. 2.

Oct. 31 — Halloween!

Part of the fun is getting into the spirit. You see some of those sweet little autumnal yard and porch signs here and there, the ones that conjure up images of happy harvests and bountiful blessings.

There are, however, the other conjurings, like those pictured here from the 3700 block of Belmont Road, one block west of Atlas in Coeur d'Alene. It's a gathering place of creatures of the night, and what they're harvesting might be bountiful, but it sure ain't happy.

The Press invites local Halloween fans to grab a photo or two of the best exterior extroversions — the cooler and creepier the seasonal scenery, the better — and email them to the newsroom cryptkeeper: mpatrick@cdapress.com

We'll publish what we can on pages of The Press, but it's up to readers to distinguish the morticians from the politicians.
