PASCO, Wash. — Senior backup quarterback Alex Bartlett threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Post Falls Trojans rolled to a 51-7 victory over the Pasco Bulldogs in nonleague play Friday night at Edgar Brown Memorial Stadium.

“We just thought this would be a good opportunity for Alex to play,” Post Falls coach Blaine Bennett said, noting senior and two-year starter Jaxon Anderson would be back as starting quarterback for next Friday’s 5A Inland Empire League opener at Lewiston. “He threw a couple nice TD passes, and managed the running game well.

“Alex did a good job; it’s nice to know we’ve got two good quarterbacks.”

Sophomore Dylan Wolfe returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown for Post Falls (3-3), “and that set the tone for the whole game,” Bennett said.

Pasco (1-4) scored on its first drive, but Post Falls shut down the host team the rest of the way.

“I thought our defense played well, and our special teams played well,” Bennett said.

Jake Bustamante ran for a pair of TDs for the Trojans, who have won three of their last four games.
