COEUR d’ALENE — Police arrested a man with a history of felony convictions this week after they allegedly found illegal pain pills in his car.

Jesse J. Weeks, 30, of Coeur d’Alene, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

Idaho State Police stopped Weeks around 1:45 a.m. Monday for an alleged traffic violation.

A search of Weeks’s vehicle allegedly yielded drug paraphernalia, including scorched aluminum foil.

Police also allegedly found a partially burned morphine pill and another prescription painkiller mixed in with a bottle filled with a different medication.

Weeks reportedly did not have a prescription for either painkiller.

Police arrested Weeks at the scene.

Weeks has previously been convicted of multiple felony charges, including burglary in 2014 and possession of a controlled substance in 2019.

Most recently, Weeks pleaded guilty to two counts of delivery of a controlled substance in 2020.

He was reportedly on probation at the time of his arrest.

He has reportedly had five warrants issued for his arrest throughout his life.

Judge John Cafferty ordered Monday that Weeks be held on $30,000 bail.
