McFARLAND: Honest and excellent

Please vote in the upcoming May election for Robert McFarland, MD, for Kootenai Hospital District Trustee. I worked side by side with Dr. McFarland for almost 30 years at Family Medicine CDA. His broad and expert knowledge of medicine and empathy for his patients was on constant display.

This was recognized by the Idaho Academy of Family Physicians when he was elected Idaho Family Physician of the Year in 2016. As a fourth generation native of North Idaho, his commitment to this community is unquestioned as a longtime Rotarian and current Trustee for the Kootenai Health Foundation. Bob knows and loves North Idaho. His leadership skills have been repeatedly demonstrated as founder of our first local charter school, Chief of Staff at Kootenai Health, President of the Idaho Medical Association or President of the Idaho Academy of Family Physicians.

But perhaps more importantly, Bob has always shown himself to be one of the most honest men I have ever met. His knowledge of medicine, love of this community and integrity are a combination that makes Robert McFarland, MD, an excellent choice for our local hospital trustee on May 18.
