A bus honoring 328 officers who lost their lives while on duty in 2020 will be outside the Coeur d’Alene Resort today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organized by Beyond the Call of Duty, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of fallen first responders, the bus will travel across the nation to police departments to honor and support communities. This year the organization will visit 194 departments, Beyond the Call of Duty Chairman Jagrut ‘JC’ Shah said.

“Each one of these good men and women gave the ultimate sacrifice,” Shah said. “They are heroes, and we are doing this to remember them, honor them, and remind their survivors that their loved ones are not going to be forgotten.”

The group encourages members of the public to come and catch a glimpse of the bus, featuring the faces of fallen officers from across the nation.
