Notable calls for the day!

03-25-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to the area of Diagonal X Ramsey for a report of 2 people stealing rides on the BNSF train. BNSF stated they were not sending their own LE for the violations. Deputies checked the area and were not able to locate anyone.

• A Deputy responded to a report of a family dispute. The adult son, was arguing with his stepfather and was causing a scene. No crimes were committed.

Deputies responded to Prairie X Ramsey for a 2 vehicle non injury accident. The drivers were uninjured, but several units were needed for traffic control. Report completed.

• Deputies responded to another accident at Cornerstone X Prairie. Report taken.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• SIU Detectives stopped a vehicle and the passenger gave a false name. Unfortunately for her, she misspelled the false name and it was quickly determined that the female provided that false name because she had a warrant. She also, had heroin and was arrested for Possession of Heroin and on her warrant. 21-12530

• Deputies responded to the area of Ramsey X Wyoming for a Suicide Attempt. Deputies contacted a subject who allegedly had taken pills. Once EMS arrived on scene, the subject voluntarily chose to seek help with EMS and was transported by EMS to KH. The subject’s grandmother also went to KH to confirm they actually put herself on a voluntary hold. 21-12569

• Deputies responded to Wal-Mart-Hayden reference a Physical Domestic occurring in a red SUV in the parking lot near row 5. On scene Deputies detained the male half. He was arrested for Fugitive from Justice Warrant, and was additionally arrested for Obstructing when he failed to ID himself. He was also charged for Domestic Battery. 21-12576

• A Deputy responded to the PSB for an Assault report after two inmates got into a fight. 21-12582

• A Deputy responded to Work Release and arrested a male for his Warrant. 21-12560

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to for a family dispute. A mother and son got into a verbal argument. No crime occurred. An FI was completed. 21-12587

• Deputies responded to N. Huetter Rd. for a 911 hang up. Upon arrival, a husband and wife were contacted. The wife admitted she called and hung up because she and her husband had been arguing (again) and she wanted him to sleep in a different camper on the property because he was drunk. The husband obliged. An FI was completed.

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Seltice Way and Beck Rd. The driver, exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. They failed SFSTs and provided breath samples of .107/.103. She was arrested for DUI. 21-12603

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at 5th Ave. and Idahaline Rd. One of the occupants was on felony probation and consented to a search of the vehicle. As one of the occupants exited the vehicle, she was attempting to conceal a small plastic container. She was detained and several oxycodone pills were located in the container. A search of the vehicle yielded more oxycodone and several items of paraphernalia. Both occupants were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. 21-12611

• Deputies responded for an unattended death. The R/P called to advise he located his father deceased. Nothing suspicious was noted. 21-12615

Notable calls for the day!

03-26-21

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies stopped a suspicious vehicle coming from the Conoco gas station, during a drug emphasis in Athol. They located marijuana paraphernalia. The driver was cited for para and no insurance. 21-12654

• A Deputy recognized a male as he walked by the Conoco gas station and remembered he had a warrant. He was arrested on the warrant 21-12664

• A Deputy watched a suspicious vehicle at the Athol Conoco gas station where the driver was lurking around but not buying gas or items in the store. Deputies made a consensual contact with the driver and subsequently ran K9 Bailey around the vehicle. Methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located and the driver was arrested. 21-12641

• Deputies received a call for a missing 7 year old boy who had run away from home. With the assistance of several deputies, detectives and the teachers from his school, the boy was located and returned home. 21-12867

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• SIU Detectives were in the PF area and stopped a green BMW SUV driven by a male who they had been searching for reference two Delivery of Methamphetamine Charges. He was arrested by Detectives for Delivery of Meth X2 and an unrelated misd warrant. He also was in possession of marijuana and heroin, so additional charges will be filed. A case for a Glock handgun was located in the vehicle. The serial number from the case returned to a stolen gun out of California, but no gun was recovered in the vehicle. The driver also appeared extremely high on marijuana and/or heroin, so DRE Deputy responded to the jail and completed a DUI investigation, He was also charged for DUI Drugs. (21-12708)

• A Deputy along with Tribal PD responded to the area of S. Mowry Road X Lampert Rd. for a 41yom that was reportedly cutting trees and may have suffered a Seizure. At the time of the call, the male was Unconscious and Not Breathing. Citizens on scene initiated CPR and Lifeflight was launched at the request of Worley Fire. The victim was transported via Lifeflight to an area facility. 21-12697

• A Deputy responded to the CDA Casino for a Theft report. A male subject had left his I-phone 12 at a gaming machine, and Security was able to obtain footage of the theft. A suspect vehicle was provided by security. The Deputy was able to locate the owner, a rental company out of Shoshone Co. The Deputy was able to identify a suspect and was actively working the case. 21-12714

• Deputies responded to the area just south of Razzles N. Government Way for a reported Domestic. A passerby reported he observed a male push a female down south of the bar. During the investigation, it was learned that the female had not been pushed and was just highly intoxicated, attempting to walk home. 21-12717

• Backcountry Deputies were working with the USFS for enhanced patrols in the Hayden Creek area. They were able to contact several groups of people mudding and were attempting to quell juvenile parties in the area.

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Highway 95 X Canfield. Upon contact with the driver the odor of marijuana was detected from within the vehicle. A search revealed a marijuana pipe. The driver was cited and released for possession of paraphernalia. 21-12755

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle in the Amerimart parking lot in Stateline after observing a vehicle burning out in the parking lot next to the gas pumps and a female. Contact was made with the driver who had a confirmed warrant out of Kootenai County. The driver exhibited the symptoms of intoxication as well. He failed SFSTs and refused to provide a breath sample. Marijuana and paraphernalia were also located in the vehicle. He was arrested on his warrant and for reckless driving, DUI, PCS marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was less than cooperative with the investigation. 21-12762

• Deputies responded to the casino regarding a disorderly/welfare check. Casino security called to advise a highly intoxicated and agitated tribal male (Tribal PD had no Officers on) was not complying with them and refused to come out of the swamp area. Casino security was able to detain the male prior to our arrival. The male was less than cooperative and extremely intoxicated. He had left his girlfriend in the room they rented for the night to continue his drunken escapade. His grandparents were contacted who came and picked him up. He was trespassed from the Casino until he turns 21. 21-12767

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies located a stolen U-Haul trailer. The occupants of the truck pulling the trailer had paperwork outlining that they had just rented the trailer from A to Z rental in Spokane. After an investigation was conducted, it was determined that U-Haul improperly listed the trailer as stolen. The trailer was removed from NCIC and the couple were released with the trailer to continue their travels.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy responded to N. Stampede Rd. for a report of a mal inj. The RP reported that a neighbor shot a BB gun through their window. 21-12831

• Several units responded to a reported Fight at N. Government Way. An anonymous RP reported 4-5 males "brawling" at the back of a storage unit type complex. After units investigated, it turned out there was not a physical fight, just an argument over a job. 21-12860

• A Deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Prairie X Corbin. As a result the driver was arrested for his Warrant. 21-12861

• Deputies responded to the area of W. Riverview Dr. X S. Pleasantview Rd. for a reported Injury Rollover Crash where an occupant was ejected. On scene Dep. Hutchinson investigated and learned a male was driving the vehicle with 2 passengers. The driver advised he was changing the radio station, looked up and was headed right at a tree. The vehicle struck the tree and rolled down an embankment. No one was actually ejected, and no one was transported. The driver was cited for inattentive/careless driving. 21-12865

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• A Deputy took a theft report from N. 16th St. in Dalton Gardens regarding mail theft. He also discovered several mailboxes on 16th St. and 17th St. had been opened as well. No other victims called during the shift. 21-12887
