| March 24, 2021 1:00 AM

Pamela Anne Alexander (Massey), 77, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. She was born Oct. 9, 1943, in Evanston, Ill., the daughter of William M. and Helen M. (Cooke) Massey.

Pam grew up in Los Angeles, was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, and graduated from St. Monica Catholic High School. She excelled in school and was actively involved in many sports, clubs and student council. She was a leader, very outgoing, and had many friends. Her passion to teach others led her to attend the College of Holy Names and enter the convent. Her Catholic faith was a strong foundation in her life. She left the convent and later married her first husband and had three children.

She continued practicing her Catholic faith and raised her children in the Catholic family. She continued her education to become a registered nurse at UCLA Medical Center. This was a great career path because of her desire to care for people. She was a staff nurse, head nurse, and later, a case manager.

She married William Levasseur and had been married for 20 years. Upon retirement from UCLA, Pam and William decided to move to Post Falls, Idaho, for a slower pace and beautiful surroundings. Her son, Tom, had moved to Idaho in the early ‘90s and she felt this would be the place to retire.

Pam and William enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, going to church and visiting their children and grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and loved the friends she met there. Pam enjoyed bible study and praying, and found comfort in the church and her Catholic faith.

Survivors include her husband, William Levasseur of Post Falls; brother, John (Lois) Massey and nephews, Dagan, Gavin and Darren; daughter-in-law, Angela Alexander and granddaughter, Rebecca Walker of Post Falls; daughter, Patti Alexander and granddaughter, Jenna Crawford and grandson, Shawn Taylor and great-grandsons, Benjamin and Nathanial Crawford of Arizona and Virginia; son, Tim (April) Alexander and granddaughters, Allison, Emma and Aubrey and grandson, Luke of Texas; stepson, Brian Levasseur and granddaughter, Kaylie. Pam leaves behind many dear friends in California. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Tom Alexander.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with a Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m.
