Sheriff calls for river meeting
Sheriff Bob Norris is inviting Spokane River residents to talk about "issues and problems occurring on the Spokane River" during a town hall meeting at the Red Lion Hotel Templin's on the River on Thursday, April 1.
"Sheriff Norris wants to hear from those directly affected by the issues to determine what the needs are and to identify priorities so that he can direct resources effectively," a press release says.
Many have expressed concerns about property damage caused by boater-created wakes on the river and want stronger enforcement of wake rules.
After a short presentation, attendees will break into groups with a member of KCSO for discussion and to fill out a short survey.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m.
Norris "is looking forward to hearing from as many of you as possible," the release said.
