Notable calls for the day!

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies from patrol, detectives and recreation safety responded to S. Stateline Rd regarding a missing 5 yo child. Once on scene units searched the child’s residence, neighbor residence and outbuilding in the area. Search and Rescue and the Drone Team were also called out. The child was located prior to VSAR's arrival and the child was returned home.

• Deputies responded to a threatening/ traffic offence. Deputies searched the area and was unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Deputies contacted the RP and learned there was a lot of yelling between the driver and RP. The yelling was regarding the divers speed but they were on a private road.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to the CDA Casino after security found methamphetamine on the gaming floor. They were able to track the drug back to a male, who admitted to dropping the drug. He was charged for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. 21-09955

• A Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle at Corbin and Seltice for a broken tail light. The vehicle, a Chevy pickup bearing unknown Tennessee plates with a yellow snow plow, then sped up in an attempt to elude law enforcement. The Deputy chose to discontinue the chase since it was just for a non-moving equipment violation and the vehicle was last seen turning east onto Hwy 53. 21-09965

• A Deputy responded to Super One in Athol for a theft report. A male was seen taking food from the deli and leaving without paying for it. He then got into a vehicle with a female. The female was contacted but the male was not with her. She claimed to not know who the male passenger was. Through the investigation it was believed to be a male who has a Marshal's warrant for counterfeiting. He was unable to be located. 21-09944

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

• Deputies responded to N. Charleville Rd for a missing person. The male suffers from Dementia and Parkinson disease. He left the residence with a dog and hadn’t returned for over 10 minutes and was not dressed for the weather. Deputies assisted PFPD in searching for the male. PFPD located the male in the general area.

• Deputies responded to an unwanted person. An intoxicated male arrived at his residence and attempted to get into the residence. The R/P said the male had been acting “strange” lately and “stockerish”. Deputies were unable to locate the male and an incident report was completed.

• A Deputy observed a vehicle leaving El Patio without headlights activated. He attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle continued into Washington before finally yielding. He identified the driver as who appeared to be DUI. Liberty Lake PD arrived on scene and completed a DUI investigation and arrested him for DUI. 21-09988
