BRAVER ANGELS: Come join us

Sholeh Patrick has urged us to speak respectfully across our political divide. Braver Angels is a grassroots organization which assists people in doing exactly that.

Braver Angels brings together groups of conservatives and liberals, allowing them to express their views and to discuss the stereotypes that discourage cooperation.

This group also sponsors respectful debates and podcasts exploring today’s issues. They have even developed workshops for families experiencing tensions due to political polarization.

Braver Angels workshops are led by their membership, which spans the country. If you sign up for a national activity, you are likely to find people who think like you — or not at all like you — spread throughout all states.

Braver Angels’ motto is “Hold America Together.” Members share a concern for this nation and a desire to see democracy functioning and prospering.

You can become more familiar with this group by visiting braverangels.org. You do not have to be a member to join or observe most events. Activities are generally online, making it quite easy to participate in or observe a workshop, or listen to a debate or interview.

The rancor frequently on display in our country is not what most of us want. At Braver Angels, brave citizens are gathering to make things better. We want diverse viewpoints. We want to hear from you. Please join us.
