Courtesy photo The Timbers North FC 08 Boys Red soccer played in the Three Blind Refs tournament in Kalispell, Mont., this past weekend. Early Saturday they defeated Flathead Rapids Black 2007 Boys 9-0. Reese Crawford led the Timbers with a hat trick. Madden Bear had two goals. Brett Johnson had one goal and an assist. Jack Jenkins, Bear Coleman and Charlie Dircksen each scored a goal. Mitchell Reitze, Jaxon Fantozzi and Reilly Smith each had an assist. Orion Burns was in goal for the shutout. Later that day, the Timbers beat Missoula Strikers 2007 Boys 2-1. Wyatt Carr scored two goals and Isaac Lowder had two assists for the Timbers. Orion Burns was in goal. On Sunday they won 3-1 over Helena Arsenal 2008 Boys. Isaac Lowder, Reese Crawford and Mitchell Rietze each had a goal for the Timbers. Jaxon Fantozzi and Joshua Rojo each had an assist. Joshua Rojo and Orion Burns teamed in goal. Timbers North came in second place to Missoula Strikers 2007 Boys in the championship game. Courtesy photo The Thorns 09 Girls Yellow soccer team traveled to Kalispell, Mont., for the 3 Blind Refs soccer tournament last weekend. The Thorns won their first three games of the tournament. The first was 6-1 against the Helena Arsenal Soccer Club, with 3 goals from Chloe Burkholder (pictured in red, dribbling), and one goal each from Lucia Barton, Ashely Yates and Adeline Blessing. The Thorns won 4-2 against The Missoula Strikers, with 3 goals from Chloe Burkholder and a goal from Audrey Linder. The Thorns won 1-0 against Helena Arsenal Soccer club, with the lone goal from Chloe Burkholder. The Thorns lost the semifinal game to the Missoula FC Blue 4-1, with the Thorns goal coming from Nell Dodge-Hutchins.

Nathan Simon scored 3 goals, Ronan Sternberg scored 3 goals and Phil Du scored 1 goal. Later that day the Timbers beat Flathead Valley United Green 5-0. Keaton Gust scored 4 goals and Mason Thaxton scored 1. In the championship game on Sunday, the Timbers beat Sandpoint 2-0. Nathan Simon and Corbin Blair each scored 1 goal. Courtesy photo The Thorns North 03/04 girls soccer team competed in the Idaho State Cup in Boise on May 28-31, earning second place in their division. In the first game against Idaho Inferno Soccer Club 03/04 Copa, the Thorns won 3-0. Goals were scored by Isabella Lucky, Olivia Wyatt and Molly Foster. Hailey Jo Parks had the shutout in goal. Saturday’s game against BYSL IFFC 03/04 Premier ended in a 1-1 tie, with the Thorns goal scored by Taytum Curtis. In the semifinals, the Thorns won 8-0 over PVSC United 03 Rose. Goals were scored by Olivia Wyatt, Shelbie Shriner, Taytum Curtis, Claire Romero, Riley Scherr, Molly Foster and 2 by Reagan Cherry. Hailey Jo Parks had the shutout in goal. In the championship game, the Thorns fell 4-3 to the CGA Academy Elite. Olivia Wyatt, Isabella Lucky and Ellie Morrisroe each had a goal for the Thorns. Despite the loss, the Thorns were invited to play in the USYS Far West Regional Championships in Boise from June 21-27.
