Ed Hill, 87

Ed Hill passed away at his home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, after a long battle for over 30 years with diabetes, on May 17, 2021. Ed was born Wallace Edward Hill to Milton and Katheryn Hill in Los Angeles, Calif.

Ed was a man's man. He was Independent, tough, and a fierce patriot. Through his life he exemplified service. Ed joined the U.S Navy out of high school. On his return he served the public as a San Diego Police Officer, Alaska State Trooper, and assistant Chief with the Acro Alaska Fire Department at Prudhoe Bay.

Ed was a wonderful, full-of-life man who took up a huge part of our hearts. We will miss his hugs everyday!

Ed is survived by his wife Nancy Hill; daughters Lynda Bryant, Shirley Morris and her husband Greg; grandsons, Sean and Greg; and granddaughters, Cyndi and Leah.

Ed's ashes will be scattered on Mount Drum in Alaska per his request at a date to be determined.
