TEACHERS: Perception explanation

Re: recent letter about teachers:

I’m sure Scott Traverse is a lovely human being and a great teacher. But when he writes, “I’m not sure why teachers have been perceived as the enemy,” Really?

American kids are growing up to despise their own country! They’re being taught that there’s something wrong with being white for crying out loud, you know, the ethnicity that has created/invented every boon to mankind in the last 10,000 years! That isn’t happening in a vacuum…it’s happening in school and the media. Not EVERY school, but most of them!

The so-called education department is destroying our kids, our history and our country IMO. Morality is a thing of the past. I’d argue that the leftists in this country, the liberals, are devoid of a sense of morality, and they have hijacked control of the Dept. of Education, not to mention the presidency.

If that doesn’t describe “the enemy,” I don’t know what does. Hell, a tour in the Marine Corps would be much more beneficial to the average high school grad than four years of indoctrination in what passes for higher education.

Truth is, our teachers here in Coeur d’Alene absolutely MUST be a major cut above because the kids here in general are the most well bred of anywhere we’ve lived and we’ve been all over. So thanks to Mr. Traverse and his fellow teachers here in Coeur d’Alene. The rest of the country might take note!
