EDITORIAL: Wrong about racism

The other choice is the hyperbolic one: While most reasonable people in general will agree that the slogan ‘F--- Joe and his Ho(e)’ is indeed reprehensible, it is a far cry from being racist.

This editorial serves as a microcosm for why rational people of good will from the two major political parties in this country are having significant difficulty in speaking to each other. When one side consistently uses race baiting hyperbole to denounce anything that would otherwise be considered deplorable, it leaves no room for conversation.

This editorial and many others like it will only serve to deepen the division in this country and in our North Idaho communities. Too bad!
