TRUST: Has to be earned

Many now call for post-election unity. All reconciliation is rooted in trust. Why should I trust anyone on the left?

When it comes to acquiring power, today’s Democrats say, “Never let a crisis go to waste!”

Wealth inequality, climate change, gun violence, racial tensions and the Wuhan Flu have all been touted as crises that can only be solved with massive governmental intervention. Progressives demonstrate an insatiable hunger to exploit the coercive power of the state.

Any recognition of objective reality that conflicts with post-modern ideology has been sacrificed on the altar of a fanatical self-serving subjectivism. To them, Western Civilization is White Supremacy, a colorblind society is White Privilege, traditions are The Patriarchy, and their own pet theories are Settled Science.

Progressives police thought and expression to further their own vision of the Common Good. Principled dissent is Hate Speech and alternative interpretations must be staunched by Woke Fact Checkers who control today’s online forums.

Federal bureaucrats have abused their public trust to pursue partisan gain. Democrats intolerantly castigate all who oppose them as being stupid, evil, or both.

This most insecure federal election in 232 years featured massive mail-in and machine voting highly susceptible to tampering. Chicago may be used to such machinations, but the USA is not.

You on the left have given me every reason to distrust you. Unless you are willing and able to persuade me otherwise, through reason and not force, I shall oppose you as being illegitimate, with no moral right to rule.
