NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE EXPENDITURE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, has determined, pursuant to Idaho Code ยง 67-2808(2)(a)(ii), that the compatibility of equipment, components, accessories, computer software, replacement parts, or service is the paramount consideration in this purchase: MARS Recirculation pump return system. The only vendor reasonably available for this equipment is MARS Company. MARS is the sole proprietors of the software that is needed to guaranty the accurate of meter testing with data that is accessible by our network. The City, therefore, intends to purchase the above-listed software and pumping system from MARS Company The compatibility of this LPR system is a "paramount consideration" for the efficient performance of the meter test bench. NOTICE FOR COMMENT USDA - Forest Service, Northern Region Idaho Panhandle National Forests Sandpoint Ranger District Boundary County, Idaho Scattered Lands Project The Forest Service is proposing to conduct fuels reduction activities within the project area in the Scattered Lands Project area and we invite your comments. The project area includes a mix of National Forest System, state and private lands, and many have high fuel loads adjacent to structures. It is a high priority to reduce the hazardous fuel loading that increase the risk for high-severity wildfires, especially adjacent to state and private lands. We are proposing to treat approximately 6,700 acres with this project. This project was developed in collaboration with the adjacent landowners, Idaho Department of Lands, Panhandle Collaborative Group, and other partners. The maps, comment period packet, and preliminary effects analysis is available on the project website: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=58631. The project area is located within Bonner County on the Sandpoint Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The project area is south of the Pend Oreille River, and west of Lake Pend Oreille, immediately adjacent to the State of Washington state line in townships 54 and 55 north, range 46 east, Boise Meridian. Unless the Responsible Official chooses to provide an additional opportunity to submit written comments, this combined scoping comment period will be the only time written comments are solicited for the Scattered Lands project. The Responsible Official will consider all written comments received during project development. The Responsible Official for Scattered Lands is the Sandpoint District Ranger, Jessie Berner. Pursuant to 36 CFR 218.25, written, facsimile, hand-delivered, oral, or electronic comments will be accepted for 30 calendar days following publication of this notice in the Coeur d'Alene Press. The publication date in the newspaper of record is the exclusive means for calculating the comment period for this proposal. You should not rely upon dates or timeframe information provided by any other source. If the comment period ends on a Saturday, Sunday, or Federal holiday, comments will be accepted until the end of the next Federal working day.
