Currently, the District collects a supplemental levy authorized in the same amount of $20,000,000, which will expire when the proposed levy goes into effect, so the proposed levy will not change the tax per $100,000 of taxable assessed value based on current conditions. The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer on the proposed levy is a tax of $222 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions. Currently, the District collects a supplemental levy that costs $210 per $100,000, which will expire when the proposed levy goes into effect. Additionally, the District collects a bond levy which is expected to decrease by $12 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value. Therefore, the estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer per $100,000 of taxable assessed value will not change. Said election will be conducted pursuant to Title 34, Idaho Code. The proposed levy shall replace the District's existing supplemental levy, which expires July 1, 2021, and has an annual cost of $99.53 per $100,000 of assessed values per year. The net effect, based on current conditions, is a $3.32 per $100,000 decrease per year. Said election will be conducted pursuant to Title 34, Idaho Code.
