Stanley James LePard, 64
Stanley James LePard, 64, of Seattle, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at Swedish Hospital from a brain hemorrhage.
Stan was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Aug. 10, 1956, to James O. “Jim” LePard and Barbara James LePard. Stan graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School and earned his B.A. in Music Composition from Eastern Washington University. He received his master's degree in Music Education at North Texas State.
Stan is survived by his wife, Donna Matorin LePard, Seattle; their daughter, Zoe Rebecca LePard, Berkeley, Calif.; and his mother, Barbara LePard, Coeur d'Alene. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathryn LePard (Dale Schroeder) of Post Falls, Idaho, and Bonnie LePard (Bruce Reed) of Washington, D.C.; two nieces; two nephews; and one great-nephew. Stan was preceded in death by his father, Jim LePard, and his grandparents, Les and Pearl James, and George and Marie LePard.
Stan has composed music for Microsoft and other companies, including music for many video games, encyclopedias and other projects. He arranged and wrote music for orchestras and directed orchestras in Europe for recordings. Over the years, Stan played many different instruments, but especially keyboards, in bands of different genres. Much of his music is available online.
