OP-ED: Ignored other extremists

| February 10, 2021 1:00 AM

In response to Chief Justice Jones’ op/ed “Bringing Extremism Under Control,” he’s looking for extremists in the wrong places. Conveniently, he failed to mention the leftist thugs in Portland last year who burned, looted and rioted for more than 100 days, while their brethren in Seattle took over a police precinct.

He is content to ridicule the NRA, which, despite poor leadership in recent years, is the only reason the extremists have failed in foisting Canadian-style disarmament on the American people. These are the same extremists who call for “reeducation” of conservatives. The same extremists who, through our new president’s executive orders, policy reversals, appointments, and proposed legislation, are catapulting this nation headlong into a Marxist welfare state.

These are the extremists who coddle our enemies while holding America hostage to the fanaticism of climate change. These are the extremists working to topple our monuments, erase our history and rename our holidays. Their ideology champions Chinese Communist-style censorship of any speech that offends political correctness.

These are the extremists who will open our borders and grant statehood to Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. These are the extremists who see the crime, homelessness and poverty in San Francisco, Chicago and Baltimore as models for our nation. This hateful, destructive ideology from the left is extremism that puts the Boogaloo Bois to shame. It is the greatest existential threat our nation has ever faced. So to all the dead people who voted for this on Nov. 3, I ask, how can you live with yourselves?
