Open gym for basketball: The Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department will once again offer open gyms at Woodland Middle School during Christmas break.

Dates are Dec. 20, 21 and 22, and Dec. 27, 28 and 29. Times are 10 a.m. to noon for grades 6-8, and noon to 2 p.m. for grades 3-5.

NIXC had one national championship team, two second-place teams, one fourth-place team, one sixth-place team, one 15th-place team and nine All-American honors: Summer Dance, London Dance, Finley Taylor, Victoria Howard, Ava Roberston, Payson Shaw, Wren Jackson, Wyatt Carr and Mitchell Rietze.
