VIRUS: Time to grow up

| August 29, 2021 1:00 AM

First, I am in my 60s, born in Idaho, and have lived my whole life here except when I was with my husband when he served his country in the Marines. I love my home state and don’t know what has happened to many of the people.

This is for those who won’t be vaccinated OR wear a mask.

Are you more important/special than your friends and neighbors?

Are you smarter or have more information than your doctor and other medical professionals?

Do you have any thought or compassion for those who have medical issues or are fragile?

If you have a right to your opinion, don’t businesses have a right to set guidelines for their establishment?

Do you have ANY compassion for doctors, nurses, and others who work in the medical community? Compassion for those who are so tired/burned out but continue to work for our sake?

Is not being vaccinated or wearing a mask more important than children being able to be in a classroom and feel safe?

The Idaho people I have known through my life have been conservative, liberal, pro-government, anti-government, outgoing, private, etc. and, for the most part, hard working farmers, ranchers, loggers, miners, etc. They don’t always agree, they don’t have to, but they have a sense of community and watch out for each other.

It would be nice to see more of that now instead of me, me, me. That is called adolescence.
