Amber Wood

| August 15, 2021 1:00 AM

It is with utter sorrow that we announce that Amber Renee Wood went home to be with Jesus on Aug. 2, 2021, after a tragic battle with COVID.

For those who knew Amber, they know that Amber’s life was marked by service to others. Whether she was working diligently and selflessly at her job in payroll or being “Auntie Ammie” to her countless “nieces and nephews,” or bending over backward to be there for her friends, she was always serving those around her with all she had. A true servant and helper to all.

Amber loved the Lord, His Word and imparting wisdom and encouragement to those she loved. She was never shy to share the truth of who God is. The Lord blessed many people through her and we are forever grateful for her heart.

Amber will be missed by all who knew her. As our hearts break at her absence here on Earth, we rest in the promise of Jesus and the resurrection life, therefore, we do not despair. We rejoice knowing we will see her beautiful face again in paradise.

As you experience the changing of the leaves this year, remember her. She loved the Autumn delights the most. As you devour the pages of an engrossing book, remember her. She loved a good story. As you feel the cozy warmth of your favorite pair of pajamas, remember her. Cozy was her preferred state of being. When you see the sun, remember her. She’s not far. For those who knew and loved her, the countless ways she has touched our lives are forever a gift from her that we can draw upon.

Amber is survived by her parents Jerry and Cindy Wood, Brother Jerry Wood Jr., and Sister Cindy Canelas.

She was preceded by her two sets of grandparents, her sister, Brenda Mayor, and her favorite Aunt, Wilma Mort.

A memorial service for Amber will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Lifeway Chapel at 501 W. 15th Ave., Post Falls, Idaho.
