Electrical, Communications and Electronic Safety/Security Prequalification Requirements: Each interested subcontractor will be required to submit to Bouten Construction Company, Construction Manager/ General Contractor (CM/GC), a completed copy of the Request for Prequalification (RFP) no later than Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 12:00 PM (PDT). The RFP responses will be evaluated in accordance with the established criteria as set forth in the RFP to determine which subcontractors will be eligible to submit bids to Bouten Construction Company for the applicable Project. Only those firms meeting the minimum RFP Criteria and scoring a minimum 90 points will be eligible to submit bids. Optional requirement: At Bouten Construction Company's sole discretion, a current copy of the subcontractor's most recent audited financial statement may be requested and shall be submitted upon request. Following the prequalification process, a list of prequalified subcontractors will be published and only those firms who have been prequalified will be allowed to bid the Projects. Please note this prequalification process does not apply to second tier subcontractors including controls, testing, access control, fire alarm and other similar vendors. Rather the prequalification applies to prime framing, mechanical and electrical subcontractors. Project Description: There are three main areas contained and managed as a single project. This prequalification process will apply to the project as described below: Heart Center & KOS Expansion: The project scope includes approximately 21,000 square foot 3-story addition, 4,000 square foot vertical expansion and 28,000 square feet of renovation. The addition will house the heart center expansion, storage, and shell space. The vertical expansion will create a space for new recovery areas for the Kootenai Outpatient Surgery. This will free up space for new Cath Labs. The addition and vertical expansion are anticipated to start in September 2021. The renovations will follow the completion of the additions. The main emphasis of this project involves increasing the capacity of the Heart Center to better serve the growing community and provide for a better patient experience. OR Expansion: The project scope includes expanding the 2nd floor by approximately 3,700 square feet over the existing kitchen to provide space for two new operating rooms & shell space. This project is anticipated to start Q1 2022. The main emphasis of this project is to increase the volume of the OR to better serve the growing community and provide for a better patient experience. The phasing and sequencing of construction will require careful coordination to ensure that patient, public, and staff safety is maintained at all times. Subcontractors will be expected to participate in and abide by all requirements related to safety, infection control, coordination of work, and Lean practices that will be implemented on the Projects. KMPO 2022-2028 Transportation Improvement Program Notice of Availability and Public Comment Period A draft of the Kootenai Metropolitan Planning Organization's (KMPO) seven-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) 2022-2028 is now available for public review and comment. The TIP is a multi-year funding program document that lists federally and non-federally funded transportation improvements proposed by local jurisdictions, highway districts, Kootenai County, Idaho Transportation Department and the Coeur d' Alene Tribe during the next six years. This document and review period includes Kootenai County's 2022 Program of Projects (POP) using Federal Transit Administration's Section 5307 funding to support of public transportation activities in the Coeur d' Alene-Post Falls Urbanized area. Kootenai County has completed their public notice and public involvement activities for public review and comments. The results from Kootenai County's process has been incorporated into the TIP and will be used to satisfy the POP requirements as required by the Federal Transit Administration.
