Music for the soul

| August 6, 2021 1:00 AM

Soul Proprietor, a ten-piece “Urban Soul” group featuring funk, blues, Motown, classic rock and R&B will perform at Riverstone Park on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. as part of the free summer concert series.

“I hope there’s room for dancing because people love dancing to our music,” said Gary Edighoffer who plays tenor saxophone in the band. “We’re really looking forward to it.”

The Spokane-based band features the lead vocals of Patrice Thompson-Rose and a four-piece horn section.

Opening the concert is Scotty Dodson, an acoustic guitar player and songwriter, with classics from the ‘60s, ‘70s and beyond, as well as a couple of his own original songs. The event is sponsored by James, Vernon and Weeks, PA.
